Statistics for Substitute Teachers

 

·               There are almost 50 million public school students enrolled in grades K-12 in the United States.

 

·               There are over 3 million public school teachers in the United States.

 

·               73% of school systems nationwide have an “urgent” need for substitute teachers.

 

·               Over 2 billion dollars is spent annually on substitute teachers.

 

·               There are about 400,000 substitute teachers nationally.
